Hey Gracie- Nice! You've got a few good options here. The belt composition and the ice cream swirl both have a lot of potential. I don't know what all you have on hand to make your relief pattern, but either of those seem like they could work well for this process. The belt could be interesting if you have some layers carved or recessed in, then several areas of higher elevation stepped up. Ice cream you could switch up elevations of the stripes at patterned or random intervals, or have it almost stair step out and down- like a topographic map of a hill- or out and up- like an amphitheater. Fun stuff.
